Dream a Little Dream

Quickly scanning the seabed Baru saw large fish bearing down on the party.  As they closed it was clear that Barracuda were attacking.  Several sailors intercepted some of the fish, but others Barracuda made their way through to Captain Sylus, Aylor and the heroes.  The underwater battle was begun.

The Barracuda were dangerous with their bite and some sailors fell easily to their attacks.  Arvien and Drovic moved toward the Captain who was surrounded by sailors and Barracuda.  The rest of the party attacked the fish as they could.  They tried to keep Aylor bottled up but he broke free and fell to a fish bite.  Sylus let out a anguished cry at the loss of Aylor.  The party prepared to wake up in the therapy room but, they found themselves continuing to battle the fish.  After a short fight Captain Sylus fell to the fish attack.
The party found themselves again on the deck of the ship in a terrible storm.  Sylus ordered the sailors and heroes to tie down the cannons, furl the sails and prepare for the storm.  Again the rocky mountains again broke the water all around the ship.  The dream was starting over.  Soon the ship broke apart and sank with the crew and heroes.  This time the underwater attack came from moray eels.  Aylor fell to the attack, Sylus bellowed, Baru fell to the attack of the eels but again at length Sylus was killed by and eel.
And the party found themselves on the deck of the ship.  This time Arvien said that they should all protect the captain.  He was the focus of the dream, Aylor had actually died and that would not change.  The heroes all raced to the ships wheel and Captain Sylus as the ship again broke apart.  Baru was with the party to their surprise.  Once the ship was on the bottom a Manta Ray attacked Grunyar from above and grabbed him with its wings.  Grunyar winked out as the damage was severe, but this time the heroes saved Sylus from death as the Manta Ray fell to the attacks of the group.
Once again the party found themselves on the deck of the ship.  They all felt as though the curse had receded to some level.  The storm lashed the ship, the heroes raced to the Captain, Aylor was grabbed by tentacles and the ship broke apart.  On the bottom the heroes found themselves staring into the dead eyes of a great white shark.
This shark was very dangerous but the heroes finally prevailed, saving Captain Sylus.  They then woke up in the therapy room.  Where Dr. Illhousen welcomed them back from the dreamwalk.  Sylus was still in his dream and the good doctor wished to send the group back into the dream, to finish breaking the Nightmare Courts hold on Sylus.  As the party again felt the curse had receded more and their vitality and spell abilities had returned, agreed wholeheartedly.
This time they found themselves beneath the waves, in the undersea graveyard of ships claimed by the rocky shoals and storms above.  This time, however, the wrecks seem larger, more numerous.  Shattered hulls and broken masts, splintered decks and cracked planking -- the wrecks spread out for as far as they could see, hiding who knew what within their water-filled interiors.
In the distance they heard Sylus shout, "Aylor, I', sorry!  I'm so sorry!"  Where the shout was coming from they couldn't tell, as it echoed throughout the wrecks all around.

DM's Notes:  The party earned 1,828 XP for the evening and now have 64,126 XP.
